If you want better precision of your propane gas levels please use a level tool to align your tank.
Clean the bottom area of your propane tank using a cleaning rag and water to avoid any interference before placing your device.
It must be free of dust, rust, mud, water etc. Make sure that the surface is clean and dry.
Make sure that the device is perfectly aligned in the center from the side view.
You can move it to the right or left depending on the test installation executed using your mobile app. However, better results of the test installation are usually reached when you place the Urgegas™ device on the same end as the liquid withdrawal valve.
If it is not correctly aligned, it may cause wrong readings. Perform a test installation through the Urgegas™ mobile app to verify that your device is placed correctly.
Remember place the device only on the indicated area, do not place the device somewhere else.
Mount your urgegas device to the bottom of your tank, right in the middle. If it is not aligned it may cause wrong readings.
Make sure that your propane tank is not resting on the Urgegas™ device. If so, an Urgegas™ Base may be required.
You should consider a permanent attachment of your Urgegas™ device to the tank only in the following
cases:
1. Increased precision of the propane gas levels is desired.
2. The tank is located in an environment that is exposed to wind, water, dust, snow, dirt or any
other factor caused by the weather.
3. If you will not exchange your propane tank, or your tank is stationary.
Make sure that the surface of the propane and sensor are clean and dry.
Identify the exact spot where you will glue your sensor to the propane tank. Using your mobile app
you can perform a test installation to make sure that it is the right place to install it before you
stick it permanently to your tank.
Getting starter
1. First remove the silicone cover from the sensor.
Before opening the glue
Make sure that you are in a well ventilated area. The glue has a pungent smell. Do not smell it
directly. Do not swallow. Do not use on skin, eyes, hair or any part of your body. This could cause
injury or death. Avoid any contact. If for any reason you have a negative reaction to the glue,
immediately seek medical attention.
2. Dispense equals amount of glue from each tube and mix throughly. This should be enough to cover
the inner top portion of the sensor. Do not mix large amounts of glue at once. Do not use more than
30 seconds to mix the glue.
3. Immediately apply the mixed glue to the top surface of the sensor’s inner circle.
4. Mount the sensor to the place that you perviously marked on the bottom of your propane tank. The
glue will cure in 5-10 minutes at 70°F (21°C). Colder temperatures may required additional time. The
glue will reach full strength within 60 minutes.
